the text of the message of senior Shia scholar Grand Ayatollah Hussein Nouri Hamedani following the martyrdom of Dr. Ali Larijani is as follows:
In the name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Ayatollah Sheikh Sadeq Amoli Larijani
I congratulate you and all the relatives and the noble Islamic Republic of Iran on the martyrdom of the esteemed scholar, Dr. Ali Larijani “May God’s mercy be upon him,” and his dear son.
The loss of a distinguished personality such as this beloved martyr is a great loss for our society. He had combined religion, politics, reason, science, and action within himself. His patience in speech, moderation in behavior, and numerous successful experiences in various positions during the Islamic Republic, from his presence in the Revolutionary Guard to the Ministry of Culture, and his presidency at the Radio and Television Organization and three terms as the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, as well as his role as the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, made him known as a beloved and honest politician, who endured ingratitude with patience, and considered fulfilling his religious duty as the criterion for his work everywhere.
I believe that he received the reward for all these services from Almighty God and, by the most wretched individuals, attained martyrdom, and, God willing, his path will continue with strength and power by the dear Iranian youth.
While paying respect to all the dear martyrs, especially the martyred leader of the Islamic Revolution, I ask for your blessings, esteemed professor, who yourself among the distinguished and valuable personalities of the Islamic Seminary.
