Sheikh Muhammad Yazbek, Head of Hezbollah’s Sharia Committee and the religious representative of Ayatollah Khamenei in Lebanon, issued a message rallying the faithful and honoring the legacy of the recently martyred Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
“You Are the Unshakable Tree of the Ummah”
Addressing the Mujahideen directly, Sheikh Yazbek praised their steadfastness in the face of escalating enemy atrocities.
“O resistant brothers, O pillar of the Ummah and its source of dignity and honor, may God reward you abundantly for the blessed martyrdom of our Master, our Honor, our very Essence, our Authority and Leader, the Grand Ayatollah Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei,” Yazbek stated. “You are the good word and the firm tree whose roots are in the earth and branches in the sky, yielding its fruit in every season, unceasing, until the earth is illuminated by the light of Imam Mahdi (PBUH).”
He asserted that the enemy’s crimes, including the assassination of leadership figures, are a desperate attempt to extinguish divine light. “They sought to extinguish the light of God with their crime, but God refuses except to perfect His light,” he said, drawing a parallel between the martyred Leader and his forefather, Imam Hussein (PBUH). “He stands as a witness, and his path will continue with you and all the fighters of the Resistance.”
The Doctrine of Engagement: Neutrality as Strategic Suicide
In a pointed rebuke of internal and regional calls for de-escalation or neutrality regarding the Palestinian cause and the defense of Lebanon, Sheikh Yazbek invoked the teachings of Imam Ali to dismantle the logic of non-alignment.
“Fight them; God will punish them at your hands, disgrace them, grant you victory over them, and heal the breasts of a believing people,” he declared, warning that hesitation is a path to ruin. “The one who hesitates is wavering and neutral, and neutrality brings nothing but further humiliation and disgrace.”
He questioned the reasoning of those advocating for standing on the sidelines: “Do those calling for neutrality not know that if you leave the enemy alone, the enemy will not leave you alone? He will not rest until he imposes his demands upon you with abject humiliation and servitude.”
Vanguard of the Awaited Imam
Sheikh Yazbek framed the ongoing struggle of the Resistance as groundwork for the ultimate divine promise—the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (PBUH). He lauded the fighters as those who answered the call of God and the Prophet despite threats and intimidation.
“You are the ones who, when people told them, ‘Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them,’ it only increased them in faith, and they said, ‘Sufficient for us is God, and He is the best Disposer of affairs,'” Yazbek stated. “Victory will be realized at your pure hands, by God’s permission.”
Vow to Free the Captives
Concluding his message with a salute to the families of martyrs, the wounded, and prisoners, Sheikh Yazbek reaffirmed a central tenet of the Resistance’s identity: the liberation of detainees.
“We will never abandon our prisoners,” he said, echoing the will of the late Hezbollah Secretary-General Martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. “We are a people who do not leave their prisoners behind in the dungeons. By God’s will, the fighters will succeed in securing their freedom.”
He offered prayers for the recovery of the wounded and vowed that the current trials, while heavy on the hearts of the faithful, will only steel their resolve until the final victory dawns.
