Nigerian Quran Memorizers Honor Memory of Martyred Minab Schoolgirls

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria, led by Sheikh Ibrahim Yaqoub Zakzaky, has held the 15th edition of its annual Quran memorization ceremony, with participants paying special tribute to the schoolgirls martyred in the US-Zionist attack on the Iranian city of Minab.

More than 200 male and female students, all followers of Sheikh Zakzaky from various regions across Nigeria, successfully completed the memorization of the entire Holy Quran during the ceremony, held in the city of Kano on May 2, coinciding with the Ten Days of Dignity (Karama).

According to the international desk of Hawzah News Agency, the event is organized each year to honor students from various Fodiya schools who have memorized the Holy Quran, extending congratulations while boosting their motivation and morale. This year marked the 15th edition of the spiritual and religious gathering.

In a poignant segment of the program, images of the elementary school students from Minab were displayed to commemorate their memory. The tribute underlined the fact that those children were peers of the young Quran memorizers in attendance—of the same generation and age group.

The gesture also served to expose and condemn the criminal and terrorist acts committed by the United States government and the Zionist Israeli regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Ahead of the ceremony, the Quran-memorizing students paid a visit to the leader of the Islamic Movement, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky. Congratulating them on their achievement, he offered valuable advice and counsel on remaining steadfastly devoted to the Holy Quran and implementing its teachings in their daily lives.
