Speaking at the closing ceremony, the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria underscored the paramount importance of conveying the religious message, stating that it is precisely this act of transmission carried out by predecessors that has preserved the faith to this day. “Conveying the religious message is a duty that rests upon every Muslim until the end of their life,” Sheikh Zakzaky said.
He added, “Just as Imam Hussein (PBUH) continued to admonish his killers until the very last moments of his life, in this very manner will the religion be preserved and transmitted to future generations.”
Sheikh Zakzaky further stressed the significance of propagation through righteous action, asserting that “conveying the message through action is more important than conveying it through voice and speech.”
In his remarks, the cleric warned that believers must inevitably confront the trials and pressures imposed by rulers and their backers, as has been the case throughout history. “Ultimately, however, the believers will emerge victorious, just as God Almighty has promised,” he stated.
The leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria concluded by emphasizing the necessity of calling people to the faith with wisdom and in an excellent manner that fosters deeper understanding, while avoiding harsh and inappropriate methods.
