Speaking on the “Horizon of Victory” program, broadcast on Al-Kawthar and Safir networks, Sheikh al-Rifai addressed a gathering of religious and political figures from various countries in an event organized by the Qademoun Global Assembly.
“What is unfolding today on the international stage is not a passing event or a tactical shift, but rather a sign of a profound historic transformation and a turning point in the course of global developments,” Sheikh al-Rifai stated.
The Shattering of the Myth of Unchallenged Power
The senior Algerian cleric pointed to the “collapse of the myth of unchallenged power,” arguing that a divine historical pattern is once again at play. “Powers that are built on domination and supremacy erode from within before they are defeated from the outside. This is a divine tradition in history,” he said.
He explained that whenever values are weakened and justice is replaced by selective approaches, the process of collapse begins. The signs of this decay, he noted, manifest in confusion in decision-making, escalating crises, and a steady loss of legitimacy.
True Power Beyond Military Might
Sheikh al-Rifai stressed that true power is not confined to military tools alone. “Real power is a combination of legitimacy, perception, and public trust. When these components weaken, the entire power structure trembles,” he warned.
Commenting on the shifting global consciousness, the scholar noted that one-sided narratives can no longer shape public opinion. “Nations have become active players in the arena of cognition and analysis,” he said.
Drawing on Quranic teachings, Sheikh al-Rifai asserted that the confrontation between truth and falsehood is an ongoing law of history, and ultimate victory belongs to the truth, no matter how long the path may be.
“The world is passing through a critical phase that could lead to a redefinition of the concepts of power, justice, and global order,” he concluded. “In this context, the awareness and awakening of nations will play a decisive role.”
