In a recent interview, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria, strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s aggression against Iran, calling it illegal, illegitimate, and a clear violation of international law.
Sheikh Zakzaky described the attacks as cruel and unjustified, stating that Iran has every right to defend itself, especially in the face of global silence and the blatant double standards of Western governments and international institutions.
“Iran is defending itself well,” he said. “While the world watches in silence, Western human rights rhetoric collapses in the face of Israeli crimes and international complicity.”
The Nigerian cleric emphasized that Iran’s nuclear program fully complies with international regulations, noting years of cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He highlighted that Iran’s peaceful intentions have been repeatedly verified, in stark contrast to Israel, which he accused of operating outside international treaties while continuously engaging in aggression and illegal attacks.
Sheikh Zakzaky also denounced Israel’s assassination of Iranian commanders and scientists, as well as the martyrdom of civilians, including women and children, calling these acts part of a broader criminal strategy by the Zionist regime.
He condemned the Western narrative that attempts to place blame on both parties equally, calling it shameful and unjust.
“The West is complicit,” Zakzaky said. “By refusing to hold Israel accountable and pretending both sides are equally responsible, they enable more violence.”
