During the meeting, Hojatoleslam Shahriari highlighted the significance of Muslim unity and support for Palestine, referring to the 12-day conflict and Iran’s recent efforts in strengthening internal integration. He invited the Pakistani delegation to participate in the 39th International Conference on Islamic Unity in Iran, which will be attended by the President of Iran.
Shahriari praised Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan for its commitment to Palestine and noted that its founder, Sayyed Abul-Ala Maududi, shared ideological proximity with Imam Khomeini (RA). He also emphasized that the convergence of Islamic countries, including Saudi Arabia’s stance against allowing American military flights against Iran, represents a valuable achievement for the Muslim world.
Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman commended Iran’s resilience in the recent conflict and reiterated his party’s commitment to promoting Muslim unity, supporting Iran’s policies on Palestine, and opposing recognition of Israel. He called for closer Iran-Pakistan cooperation to counter religious divisions, combat terrorism, and promote Islamic values, particularly among Western youth.
The meeting underscored the importance of collective action among Islamic governments and organizations to address challenges in Palestine and strengthen the cohesion of the Muslim world.
