Vice Chairman of Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan Meets Iranian Ambassador in Islamabad

Hujjat al-Islam Arif Hossein Vahidi, Vice Chairman of the Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan, met with Reza Amiri-Moghaddam, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Pakistan, in Islamabad to discuss matters related to the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage.

 During the meeting, Hujjat al-Islam Vahidi expressed his appreciation for the continuous support and cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in facilitating services for Arbaeen pilgrims. He underscored the importance of enhancing coordination between the relevant institutions of both countries to ensure a smoother pilgrimage experience. He also emphasized the need to remove any obstacles that could hinder the pilgrims’ journey and called for increased support in this regard.

Ambassador Amiri-Moghaddam, while highlighting the spiritual significance of Arbaeen in Islamic culture, reaffirmed Iran’s commitment to supporting Pakistani pilgrims. He assured that all necessary measures would be taken to guarantee the security, comfort, and efficient border crossing of the pilgrims.

He further emphasized that, as in previous years, Iran stands firmly with the Pakistani people during Arbaeen and will make every effort to provide the best possible services and facilities throughout the pilgrimage period.
