Maulana Hedayat al-Rahman Baloch, Amir of the Baluchistan Jamaat-e-Islami and member of the provincial assembly, at a ceremony held on the occasion of the demise anniversary of Imam Khomeini’s (RA) in Quetta, Pakistan, pointed out his prominent role in awakening nations and supporting the oppressed of the world, and stated,” The name of Imam Khomeini (RA) always resembles perseverance, defending the rights of the oppressed, and Islamic zeal.”
Emphasizing that Imam Khomeini (RA) not only awakened the Iranian nation, but was also the loud voice of all the oppressed people of the world, especially the oppressed people of Palestine, he added,” The Late Imam Khomeini (RA) opened a new path for nations with his historic uprising and the establishment of the Islamic Revolution and set in motion awakened consciences. Today, the message of that great man continues to inspire the free and righteous people around the world.”
Maulana Hedayat al-Rehman further noted,” Defending the rights of nations and fighting against oppression and arrogance is a religious, moral and human duty. In the current situation where the people of Palestine, especially in Gaza, are under the cruel bombing and siege of the Zionist regime, not only America and Israel are responsible for these crimes, but some rulers of Islamic countries are also complicit in this oppression due to their silence and indifference.”
He continued to say that although the Islamic world has millions of military forces, advanced weapons and even atomic bombs, killings and genocide are still continuing in Gaza. This situation shows the lack of unity among the Islamic nation.
At the end of his speech, the Amir of the Baluchistan Jamaat-e-Islami emphasized,” Today, more than ever, we need revolutionary spirit, honesty and fighting against oppression. The Late Imam Khomeini’s path is the path of awakening, dignity, and resistance, and we must continue this path with authority and unity. The liberation of Palestine is a collective responsibility for the Islamic Ummah, and its realization requires a global determination in the Islamic world.”
