on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the destruction of Jannat al-Baqi cemetery, the Indian Ulema Council held a large-scale march in Lucknow, protesting against this historic act and demanding the reconstruction of the graves of the Ahlul Bayt (PBUT), the wives of the Prophet (PBUH) and the great companions of Islam in this cemetery.

This rally was held after the Friday prayers at the Asefi Mosque in Lucknow. A large group of scholars, students, and various segments of the public participated in this march, chanting slogans against the Al Saud regime and holding placards supporting the reconstruction of Jannat al-Baqi, calling for the action of the international community and the Islamic world towards this long-standing demand.

In another part of this gathering, scholars also gave speeches and condemned the destruction of the graves of Jannat al-Baqi and called for the reconstruction of these holy places.

Religious scholar Hujjat al-Islam Faiz Abbas Mashhadi considered the destruction of Jannat al-Baqi a symbol of state terrorism and stated,” We have been standing against this oppression for more than a century and we will not stop until the reconstruction of the graves of the Ahlul Bayt (PBUT) is realized.”
