Rep. of Supreme Leader in Iraq: Islamic Republic has always been a defender of the oppressed

Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini, the representative of Supreme Leader in Iraq, emphasized Iran’s justice and peace-seeking positions and said,” The Islamic Republic has always been a defender of the oppressed and has never initiated wars.”

Ayatollah Seyyed Mujtaba Hosseini, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s representative in Iraq and a lecturer in the jurisprudence course at the Najaf Ashraf Seminary, in a speech in his course, pointed out regional and global developments, highlighting the Islamic Republic’s adherence to moral, justice-oriented, and peace-seeking principles, and noted, “Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Islamic Republic of Iran has never initiated war and has always stood by the oppressed, eliminating aggression, and supporting oppressed nations.”

Defending Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Bosnia was not at the request of the oppressed

Pointing out Iran’s support for the people of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, and Bosnia, he said, “The Islamic Republic has always stood up for the oppressed nations at their request, and has never been a firebrand, but has been a defender of peace, tranquility, and justice in the world.”

Ayatollah Hosseini added, “In Lebanon, Bosnia, Syria, Iraq, and other places, it was the oppressed themselves who sought help from the Islamic Republic. Iran’s support for them has been a legitimate defense against the aggressors.”

The United States has not abandoned its hostility toward the Islamic Republic since the beginning of the revolution until today.

Referring to the history of America’s hostility toward the Islamic Republic, the representative of the Supreme Leader said, “Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, The US has never abandoned its hostile behavior toward Iran, and even at times when the Islamic Republic was ready for dialogue, The US has only insisted on imposing its will.”

He emphasized, “US is not a fan of fair dialogue, but also fundamentally seeks the surrender of nations rather than constructive interaction with them, and its hostility towards the Islamic Republic is solely due to Islamic resistance.”
