Ramadan is time of spiritual growth, social reform

A grand ceremony was held in Jammu and Kashmir to welcome the holy month of Ramadan.

 A ceremony was held under the auspices of the Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association in Budgam. This spiritual gathering was attended by a large number of religious scholars, Friday imams, leaders of religious associations and social figures.

In a speech, Hujjat al-Islam Syed Hassan Mousavi Safavi, President of the Shia Sharia Association, while explaining the unique virtues and blessings of the holy month of Ramadan, advised Muslims to purify their souls, reform social affairs and take advantage of this spiritual opportunity.

Expressing concern about the increase in social harms, the spread of sectarian differences in cyberspace and the weakening of moral and spiritual values, he emphasized the unity and solidarity of the Islamic Ummah.
