Pakistan’s Grand Mufti Backs Iran’s Retaliation, Urges Islamic Unity

In a significant show of cross-sectarian solidarity, Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani, one of Pakistan’s most respected Sunni scholars and Grand Mufti, expressed full support for the Islamic Republic of Iran following the recent Zionist regime's aggression.

Karachi, Pakistan – In a statement posted to his official account on the social platform X, the head of Darul Uloom Deoband commended Iran’s strong and decisive retaliation, calling it a historic moment that demonstrated the regime’s vulnerability.

“This is the first time Israel has truly tasted the reality of bombing,” he wrote.

While acknowledging the losses Iran has endured, Mufti Usmani emphasized that Iran’s resilience and retaliatory strength have sent a powerful message across the region.

“The hostile goals of this regime against the Islamic world are no secret to anyone,” he added.

Mufti Usmani described the current situation as a “divinely granted opportunity” for the Muslim Ummah to unite against Zionist threats, urging nations to stand together and work toward containing the expansionist ambitions of the regime.

His statement has been widely regarded as a rare and powerful gesture of unity between Sunni and Shia leadership in the face of regional aggression.
