Pakistani Shia Leader Warns Against ‘New Slavery’ in the Name of World Order

Islamabad – Hojjat-ul-Islam Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, Chairman of the Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan, has issued a strong condemnation of recent statements made by the President of the United States regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran. In a sharp response, he criticized what he described as a hypocritical and oppressive global system, warning against the spread of “new slavery” disguised as a modern world order.

Reacting to remarks in which the U.S. President suggested that Iran must conform to the world order or face worsening conditions, Naqvi stated:

“The so-called world order is nothing more than a structure rooted in neo-colonialism, imposed compromises, artificial gains, unjust distribution of wealth, deceptive diplomacy, exploitative agreements, and economic domination. It represents a retreat from the true rights of nations.”

He emphasized that Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution was a direct challenge to this global injustice:

“The Islamic Revolution emerged in opposition to this corrupt system. It was built on the principles of social justice, genuine religious values, and mutual respect among nations. Despite the most severe sanctions and external pressures, it continues to stand tall, advancing with resilience, dignity, and purpose.”

Addressing the U.S. President’s rhetoric, Naqvi remarked:

“Such statements are detached from reality and reveal a superficial understanding of the region’s dynamics. For over four decades, the Iranian nation has resisted domination, refusing to bow to the arrogance and coercion of hegemonic powers—then and now.”

The Pakistani cleric further warned of a systematic effort by global powers to impose a modern form of slavery on Muslim nations:

“Backed by international Zionism and regional collaborators, the arrogant powers have long pursued the disintegration of major Islamic states and the installation of puppet regimes, especially before and after World War II. Today, they aim to enforce cultural, political, and economic servitude under the banner of peace and partnership.”

Naqvi pointed to the creation of the Zionist regime and the controversial Abraham Accords as examples of this broader agenda:

“These deals represent the betrayal of the Palestinian cause and a blatant deviation from Islamic principles. They reflect the deceitful nature of the current world system, which hides exploitation behind the façade of diplomacy.”

He argued that the Islamic Revolution of Iran serves as a beacon of resistance for oppressed nations:

“This revolution is not just a national movement—it is a global symbol of stability, security, and defense of the rights of nations. It was never about fleeting interests or political convenience, but about restoring honor, independence, and identity to the Islamic world.”

In conclusion, Hojjat-ul-Islam Naqvi dismissed the recent American threats as signs of political desperation:

“These reckless and threatening remarks reveal the confusion and failure of U.S. leadership after repeated defeats in the region. The Islamic Revolution stands today as a proud and unshakable model for the Muslim Ummah, and it will continue to light the path toward a future rooted in justice, faith, and unity.”
