On the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the passing of the Late Imam Khomeini (RA), the founder of the Islamic Revolution, a grand ceremony was held at the Jamiat-ul-Urwa al-Wuthqa in Lahore, Pakistan, according to the Hawza News Agency. At this ceremony, Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Jawad Naqvi, Head of the Tehreek-e-Bedari-e-Ummat-e-Mustafa Movement, explained the various dimensions of the personality, thought, and liberating path of Imam Khomeini (RA) in a speech.
Referring to the chaotic situation of the Islamic world, he said,” Today, the Islamic Ummah is involved in internal turmoil, intellectual division, and foreign domination, but the path to salvation is the clear path that Imam Khomeini (RA) outlined. A path that guides nations in the darkness of time, like a shining light.”
The president of the Al-Urwa Al-Wuthqa University, pointed out the prophetic and courageous positions of the late Imam Khomeini against the Zionist regime, adding,” the Late Imam Khomeini (RA) introduced Israel as a cancerous tumor in the Islamic world many years ago, but unfortunately, the Islamic nation was not vigilant at that time. If the Imam’s call had been heeded in time, this dangerous tumor would have been eradicated today.”
Criticizing the silence of Islamic countries towards the crimes of the Zionists, especially in Gaza, he stated,” Israel continues to kill oppressed people today with American weapons, capital from Arab countries and Western support, but the shameful silence of the Islamic nation, especially countries like Pakistan, has practically paved the way for these crimes.”
In conclusion, the head of Tehreek-e-Bedari-e-Ummat-e-Mustafa, while emphasizing the revival of the thoughts and message of Imam Khomeini (RA), said, “The revolutionary thoughts and vision of Imam Khomeini (RA), especially in the face of global arrogance, continue to be the way to save the Islamic Ummah. Keeping this revolutionary spirit alive is one of the most urgent tasks of all of us today.”
