a ceremony was held at the historic Mughal Mosque in Mumbai, during which the years of service of Hujjat al-Islam Mehdi Mahdavipour, the former representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader in India, were honored, and at the same time the new representative, Hujjat al-Islam Hakim Elahi, was warmly welcomed.
The ceremony was held with the presence of scholars, thinkers, social intellectuals, and prominent religious and cultural figures from the city of Mumbai and the state of Maharashtra, and its atmosphere was full of spirituality and respect for the position of knowledge and service.
In this ceremony, the speakers, while expressing their memories of Mahdavipour, appreciated his efforts in the religious, cultural and social fields, especially in strengthening unity among Muslims.
In another part of the program, Hujjat al-Islam Hossein Mehdi Hosseini described the fifteen years of extensive activity of Hujjat al-Islam Mahdavipour and, referring to his pivotal role in creating empathy among religions, considered his services worthy of appreciation.
Dr. Mohsenifar, Head of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Mumbai, and Mr. Fazel, Director General of the House of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran, were also present at the ceremony and presented shawls and flowers to express their appreciation for the efforts of the two representatives of the Supreme Leader of Iran.
