Najaf Friday Imam warns of organized conspiracy against Iraqi Shiites

Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Sadr al-Din Qabanji, regarding the U.S. request to disband the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces stated,” Why does the U.S. focus on disbanding the Popular Mobilization Forces and not on ISIS and the Nusra Front?

Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Sadr al-Din Qabanji, the Najaf Friday Imam, during his Friday prayer sermons delivered at the Fatima Grand Mosque in Najaf Ashraf, spoke about the US request to disband the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, saying,” Why does America focus on disbanding the Popular Mobilization Forces and not on ISIS and the Nusra Front? Why does it focus on the Popular Mobilization Forces, Hezbollah, the Revolutionary Guards and Ansar Allah in Yemen instead of the terrorists?

He added,” We say that this is, firstly, interference in internal Iraqi affairs, and secondly, the Popular Mobilization Forces are the military forces of the Iraqi nation.”

The Friday prayer Imam of Najaf Ashraf continued to say that the government is unable to prevent the dangers ahead, so the Popular Mobilization Forces are the official arm of the government and an indispensable force.

In another part of the sermon, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Sadr al-Din Qabanji said,” Several fires have broken out in Najaf Ashraf due to the intense heat. The Civil Defense rushed to extinguish these fires. May God reward them with the best reward, since they are considered unsung heroes of the Iraqi nation. Here I express my gratitude to our forces in the Civil Defense for these measures.”

Regarding the upcoming elections for the Iraqi parliament, he called on everyone to update their electoral cards, since current statistics indicate that the number of people who went to update their electoral cards in the western provinces is higher than in the central and southern provinces. This is a pre-fabricated plan. They also announced that they want to take power from the Shiites.

The Friday Imam of Najaf Ashraf continued, “Our position is what the constitution says: the political majority is the one who governs without regard to sectarian language, because the Iraqi constitution says that the political majority has the right to govern.”
