Mohammad Ali Soleimani, head of the Applied Training Center of the Cultural and Propaganda Deputy of the Islamic Propaganda Office, presented a report on the holding of training courses at this center in 2024, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Qom Seminary, He said,” In 2024, 268 training courses and 134 virtual training courses, as well as 33 pilgrimage training camps were held in cooperation with experienced professors in Qom province and other Iranian cities for 103,681 missionaries and cultural activists with the efforts of the three departments of “Child and Adolescent Teacher Training”, “Provincial Education”, and “Education”.
He further noted, “The main activities of the training center can be described in 4 sections: “Conferences, workshops and scientific meetings”, “Training courses”, “Pilgrimage training camps” and “Virtual courses and content production”.
Soleimani said,” The first activity of this center, “Conferences, workshops and scientific meetings”, has been carried out with the approach of explaining current trends and improving the level of knowledge of students and missionaries in order to respond to current needs and with the goals of “familiarizing with current trends and events”, “emphasizing the ethics and behavior of missionaries”, “the need for networking and exchanging experiences” and “responding to the current needs of the audience”.
The head of the Applied Training Center of the Islamic Propaganda Office of Qom Seminary finally pointed out the necessity of utilizing cyberspace for educational discussions, adding,” In order to make maximum use of current technology and save the costs and time of scholars, many training courses have been held virtually, and so far, more than 200,000 minutes of educational content have been produced in this center.”
