Massive Nationwide Protests in Pakistan in Solidarity with Iran

Thousands of people, religious scholars, and members of religious organizations took to the streets in all four major provinces—Punjab, Sindh, Baluchistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—as well as in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and numerous other cities across the country.

In response to a nationwide call by Hujjat al-Islam Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi, Chairman of the Shia Ulema Council of Pakistan, massive demonstrations were held across Pakistan after Friday prayers to express solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran and denounce the recent Zionist regime’s aggression.

During the protests, Hujjat al-Islam Shobeir Hassan Maysami, Secretary General of the Shia Ulema Council, condemned the attacks as a blatant act of aggression and a grave violation of international law. He described the martyrdom of senior Iranian military commanders, nuclear scientists, and civilians as a significant loss to the Islamic world.

Emphasizing Iran’s legitimate right to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity, Maysami noted that the assaults were clearly supported by the United States and pose a serious threat to regional and global peace.

The demonstrators voiced unwavering support for Iran and called for unity in the face of escalating regional tensions.
