In her speech at the closing ceremony of the first Quran competition of the Eagle Society 1446, which was held at the Tajuddin School of Maldives, Mrs. Sajida Mohamed, the first lady of the Maldives, encouraged everyone to seek excellence in all aspects of life according to the guiding principles of the Holy Quran.
She further noted that adopting such behavior in life will lead not only the individual lives of members of the society but also a nation as a whole towards positive changes.
The wife of the Maldives President also acknowledged the increasing trend of Quran recitation competitions and considered it as a promising development.
Sajida Mohamed also emphasized that Maldivian children as well as the Maldivian nation find guidance and peace of mind under the teachings of the Holy Quran.
At the event, she thanked the efforts in the field of social development, and stressed the importance of each individual’s responsibility in contributing to increasing the well-being of the community.
The competition was held last Ramadan, and many volunteers, including students from Tajuddin School, participated in the Quran recitation category.
