At a press conference for the Fifth International Conference on Jurisprudence and Law under the title “Jurisprudence, Law and Artificial Intelligence” at the Islamic Research Center of the Iranian Parliament in Qom, Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Mobaleqi stated,” This conference is designed with the aim of creating a dialogue between the epistemological and institutional systems of jurisprudence, law and other fields of civilization, and every year, focusing on a new analytical perspective, it has opened new paths in the connection of jurisprudence and law.”
The chairman of the Fifth International Conference on Jurisprudence and Law further added,” With the serious efforts of the Iranian parliament in the field of artificial intelligence, the conference on jurisprudence and law centered on artificial intelligence has gained additional importance.”
He went on to say,” Given the Supreme Leader’s strategic and continuous emphasis on the issue of artificial intelligence, it is essential to pursue this approach in two main branches, namely the development of technical, scientific and technological infrastructures to strengthen the national ecosystem of artificial intelligence and addressing the intellectual, jurisprudential and legal dimensions of this phenomenon in order to regulate its relationship with the legal, value and cultural structures of society.”
The Qom Seminary professor continued, “Investigating and analyzing the jurisprudential and legal dimensions of artificial intelligence and trying to provide frameworks in the field of Islamic-legal governance on intelligence-based developments is of great significance, and the Fifth Conference on Jurisprudence, Law and Artificial Intelligence will focus on the second axis.”
He concluded by saying, “This approach complements the technical and technological phase of policymaking in the field of artificial intelligence and plays an important role in achieving effective and balanced governance in this regard, and has focused on the second axis.”
