On the other hand, the enemies of Islam did not even think of forming an Islamic system; a system that could demand the rights of Muslims and Islamic countries and stand against colonialism. Because they had plundered all the scientific, cultural, economic, and… assets of Muslims.
But the revolution of Imam Khomeini (RA) and its victory shattered the dreams and fantasies of the enemies of Islam, exposed the true face of political Islam, and robbed the arrogant of peace. This victory was not only the formation of a system in Iran, but also the beginning of a global revolution in the Islamic world. After that, many Islamic countries that were under colonial rule, following the example of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Islamic Revolution of Iran, launched movements that achieved victory in many cases.
Imam Khomeini’s (RA) Revolution carried several basic messages, which are mentioned below:
1. Awakening and raising awareness in Islamic countries
The victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran revived the spirit of jihad, resistance and standing against oppression, arrogance and colonialism throughout the world, especially in Islamic countries. This revolution awakened the Islamic world from an imposed sleep.
After the victory of this revolution, political and Islamic movements were formed in many Islamic countries, including Afghanistan. Following the example of the Iranian Revolution and the personality of Imam Khomeini (RA) was the main factor in these developments. With this awakening, Islam was revived not only in the political dimension, but also in all dimensions.
Some Islamic countries gained independence, Islamic banks, universities and scientific and cultural centers were established throughout the Islamic world. All these achievements were the result of the influence of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and Imam Khomeini (RA).
2. Preventing the distortion of the holy religion of Islam
After the collapse of the Ottoman Caliphate and the plundering of Muslim scientific resources, it was difficult to revive Islam in its true form. The enemies of Islam tried to limit religion to worship in the mosque and eliminate its role in politics, economy, and society; just as they did with Christianity.
But the Islamic Revolution of Iran thwarted these plans. This revolution displayed the true face of Islam in all its political, economic, social, moral, and other dimensions, and saved Islam from the danger of distortion.
These two messages are among the most important messages of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
A strong leadership at the head of the revolution Undoubtedly, such a great victory, which terrified the enemies of Islam and became their nightmare, required a powerful and faithful leadership. At the forefront of this revolution was a personality with firm faith and an iron will named Imam Khomeini (RA). He brought such a great achievement to the Islamic world by following the example of religious leaders.
Some of his outstanding characteristics are mentioned below:
1. Faith and Piety
Faith and piety are the basic principles of Islam and the only criterion for the superiority of humans in the sight of God. As the Quran says: “Indeed, the most honored of you in the sight of God is the most pious of you.” Imam Khomeini (RA) was also a clear example of piety. All his goals were for the pleasure of God and he made a deal with God; therefore, God also gave him a great reward.
2. Political and global vision
Another prominent characteristic of the Imam was his political and global vision. His vision was not limited to Iran, but he thought about the entire Islamic world. Supporting the oppressed and deprived was one of the basic principles of the revolution. Among his practical actions in this regard was support and solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian nation and other Islamic nations.
3. Asceticism and simplicity
Like other religious leaders, Imam Khomeini (RA) also adhered to simplicity. He turned away from worldly luxuries and worldly possessions and chose a simple and unluxurious life, like the general public.
The Imam (RA) also possessed many outstanding qualities such as patience, perseverance, courage, management and leadership. He is considered a perfect role model for man and humanity.
