the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (PBUH), held a scientific meeting with Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Ahmad Hosseini Eshkevari, a prominent figure of Najaf Ashraf Seminary in attendance. The ceremony was attended by a group of professors, students, researchers and academics.
Emphasizing the scientific role of Hujjat al-Islam Eshkevari
Ammar Muslim Mashallah, head of the Alavi Library and Museum affiliated with the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Holy Shrine, stated in the meeting,” This program was held in order to honor the scholars of Najaf Seminary. Hujjat al-Islam Eshkevari is among the most prominent academic figures of Najaf Ashraf, who has dedicated more than sixty years of his life to research, writing and teaching the sciences of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) and is considered one of the pioneers of documenting the manuscripts of Alawi Library.
Hujjat al-Islam Eshkevari’s academic biography
Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Ahmad Hosseini Eshkevari was born in Najaf Ashraf in 1971 and studied religious sciences under the elders of the seminary since childhood. He worked in the public library of Ayatollah Hakim in Najaf and then the library of Ayatollah Marashi Najafi in Qom; finally, with the support of Ayatollah Sistani, he established the “Islamic Archives” in Qom. This center hosts thousands of exquisite and valuable manuscripts.
Appreciation for Scientific Services
At the end of the ceremony, Sayyid Isa al-Khersan, the custodian of Alavi Holy Shrine, presented a plaque of appreciation honoring the scientific efforts of Hujjat al-Islam Eshkevari in serving science and religion.
