“Huge crowds in Iran for Funeral of Commanders, Scientists Martyred in Israeli Attacks”

Funerals were held in Iran for about 60 people, including military commanders and nuclear scientists, who were martyred during the 12-day conflict with Israel.

Coffins draped in Iranian flags and bearing pictures of the deceased commanders were surrounded by a large crowd near Tehran’s Enqelab Square.

A large crowd of mourners dressed in black chanted slogans, waved Iranian flags and held pictures of martyrs.

The funeral was attended by prominent figures including Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Admiral Ali Shamkhani, an adviser to the Supreme Leader who was wounded in an Israeli strike earlier this month.
