On Monday, Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli met with the senior Iraqi cleric while attending his house in the holy city of Najaf in Iraq.
During this meeting, Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli presented a complete volume of the precious Tasnim Quranic Interpretation in 80 volumes to the senior cleric; he personally presented the 80th volume to Grand Ayatollah Sistani.
Grand Ayatollah Sistani also expressed his satisfaction with this meeting and called Tasnim Interpretation an honor for the Shiites, adding,” You were in studying the Holy Quran for 40 years and made serious efforts in this regard, and this work of yours is an honor for the Shiites.”
He stated,” The principle and axis of Islam is the Holy Quran; the narrations of the Ahl al-Bayt (PBUT) must be interpreted based on the Quran and can only be relied upon and acted upon if they are consistent with the Quran.”
The Senior Iraqi cleric further noted,” Our view of the Qom Seminary is no different from our view of the Najaf Seminary, and we will do everything possible for the seminaries to the best of our ability.”
Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli, praising the distinguished personality of Grand Ayatollah Sistani, stated,” A great religious personality such as yours is a great blessing for the seminaries and the Islamic community. You are like a compassionate father to the Shiites and the Iraqi nation.”
Referring to the prominent role of the Shia scholars in Iraq, Ayatollah Javadi added, “The Najaf Seminary, whether directly or indirectly, has been and is a source of many blessings for the Islamic world; your role in preserving the social order and confronting Takfiri movements such as ISIS is a historic one.”
Grand Ayatollah Javadi Amoli also expressed his gratitude for the valuable services of Grand Ayatollah Sistani to the seminaries, both inside and outside Iraq, and emphasized wider interactions between the seminaries.
