Qom – In a statement issued on the occasion of Muharram, Grand Ayatollah Abdullah Javadi Amoli has emphasized that the message of Ashura serves as a powerful source of strength and resilience for Muslims, urging them to remain steadfast in the face of threats and to actively prepare to confront their enemies.
Ashura: A Source of Courage and Readiness
“The message of Karbala energizes the Islamic nation,” the senior Iranian cleric stated. “It strengthens our resolve to face all dangers and prevents fear from entering our hearts. We must be present on every front—spiritually, socially, and politically—and stand firm against oppression.”
Quoting Imam Hussein (PBUH), he added: “I see death only in happiness, and life with the oppressors as nothing but disgrace.” He said this eternal line encapsulates the spirit of resistance that Karbala offers to every generation.
A Call to Preserve the School of Ahlul Bayt (PBUT)
Ayatollah Javadi Amoli stressed the obligation of all Muslims to deeply understand the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt (PBUT) and to safeguard them as a vital legacy. “In knowing and preserving this school, and in strengthening the unity and readiness of the nation, we fulfill our duty to resist the enemy in every dimension.”
