Cultural Counselor of Iraqi Consulate in Iran:Arbaeen Walk Keeps Resistance Alive

The Cultural Counselor of the Iraqi Consulate in Iran stated,” After October 7, a special change in approach has occurred in many countries; the Arbaeen Walk, as a global movement, has been able to keep resistance thought alive and has strengthened the issue of Palestine.”

Yasser Abdul Zahra Al-Hajjaj, Cultural Counselor of the Iraqi Embassy in Iran, delivered a speech at the Fourth International Conference on the Knowledge and Mission of Imam Hussein (PBUH), which was held on Saturday at Sheikh Mufid Hall of Qom University during which he said, “In the Arbaeen Walk, no one belongs to any nation or tribe; this event is a human example in which hearts are united and completely dependent on Imam Hussein (PBUH).”

He further noted, “One of the key results of the Arbaeen Walk is the restoration of relations between nations and the intensification of bond between the Iraqi and Iranian people, which has formed a deep brotherhood between the two nations.”

Al-Hajjaj said,” The Iraqi people have opened their hearts and the doors of their homes to the pilgrims of Aba Abdullah Al-Hussein (PBUH) on this path; this ritual has created a bond between the Iraqi people and Iran that politicians have failed to create for many years.”

The cultural counselor of the Iraqi embassy in Iran referring to the events in Palestine stated,” The issue of Palestine and Gaza is now at the forefront of Islam; after October 7, a special change in approach has occurred in many countries; the Arbaeen Walk, as a global movement, has been able to keep the thought of resistance alive and has strengthened the issue of Palestine and Al-Quds.”

In conclusion, he said,” The Arbaeen pilgrimage is a unifying movement that has brought all Muslims together under the banner of Imam Hussein (PBUH).”
