Bangladeshi Scholar: Iran’s Resistance Against Zionism Is a Battle of Faith and Justice

In a recent interview with Hawzah News Agency, Bangladeshi scholar and researcher Hujjat al-Islam Amjad Hossain described Iran’s confrontation with the Zionist regime as a struggle rooted in faith, justice, and the defense of the oppressed, emphasizing that Iran’s stance is based on divine and ideological principles.

“This is not merely a political conflict,” he said. “The enmity between Iran and Israel stems from a deep ideological divide. Iran’s Islamic Revolution was founded on monotheism and the liberation of the Islamic Ummah, while the Zionist regime is built on materialism, racism, and occupation.”

Quoting the Quran, Surah Al-Ma’idah, verse 82, Hossain pointed to a long-standing theological context: “You will find the fiercest of people in enmity to those who believe—the Jews…” He said this enmity is doctrinal and persistent, not merely situational or political.

Commenting on Western media, he criticized the double standards in its coverage: “When Israel kills civilians and demolishes homes, it is labeled ‘self-defense,’ but when Iran supports the oppressed, it is accused of ‘supporting terrorism.’ This reveals the bias of media outlets and so-called human rights organizations that have become tools of Zionism and imperialism.”

Explaining the broader nature of the conflict, Hossain stated, “This is not a struggle over borders or politics. It is the timeless battle between truth and falsehood—between the legacy of Imam Hussein (AS) and the modern face of tyranny. Iran represents resistance and monotheism; Zionism represents rebellion and oppression.”

Asked whether Iran might compromise under Western pressure, he responded firmly: “Never. Iran’s support for Palestine is not a political tactic; it is a religious and moral obligation. As the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei has said: ‘The struggle will continue until the Zionist regime is destroyed.’ This position is grounded in belief, not diplomacy.”

In his final message to the Islamic world, Amjad Hossain urged unity and action: “Neutrality in the battle between truth and falsehood is complicity with falsehood. The silence of Muslim nations has emboldened Zionist aggression. Like Iran, the entire Islamic Ummah must take a clear and courageous stance. This is the path of the Prophet (PBUH) and the Ahlul Bayt (AS).”
