Ayatollah Araki: Ceasefire Request Is the Enemy’s Declaration of Defeat

Speaking after what he described as the Zionist regime’s surrender to the revolutionary will of the Iranian people and the power of the nation’s armed forces, Ayatollah Araki said, “First and foremost, we must thank Almighty God for His support of the Supreme Leader and for granting this great victory to the Iranian nation.”

Tehran – In a powerful statement following the recent ceasefire, Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, member of the Expediency Discernment Council and the Assembly of Experts, declared that the enemy’s request for a ceasefire signifies its defeat in the face of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s strength and unity.

He added, “The enemy has admitted defeat by calling for a ceasefire. But the true defeat lies with the United States—particularly with its current leadership, which has proven shameless, untrustworthy, and a danger even to the American people.”

Ayatollah Araki emphasized that while the ceasefire marks a milestone, the battle is far from over. “We must not trust the enemy. The Zionist regime is deceitful and has a history of violating agreements. We should remain vigilant.”

He called for continued national unity, describing it as a manifestation of divine mercy and the key factor behind the recent success. “This unity must be preserved. Any act or speech that threatens it directly aids the enemy and damages our national interests,” he warned.

“Preserving unity,” he stressed, “means standing behind the Supreme Leader and abiding by his decisions in all matters. We await his guidance on the next steps, and we must all remain aligned with his leadership and the armed forces under his command.”

Ayatollah Araki also urged continued military preparedness despite the ceasefire. “The enemy remains deceptive and unreliable. The state of war may have paused, but our readiness must not.”

He concluded by calling on the Iranian people, officials, managers, and armed forces to remain alert and united, stating that true victory can only be secured through continued faith, vigilance, and obedience to the Supreme Leader.
