Muzaffarabad, Kashmir — On the Day of Ashura, thousands of mourners filled the streets of Muzaffarabad, the capital of Pakistani Kashmir, in a powerful display of devotion to Imam Hussain (AS) and solidarity with the Resistance Front. The mourners commemorated the martyrs of Karbala while carrying images of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and the martyr Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, expressing unwavering support for the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.

Held on the 10th of Muharram, the large-scale mourning procession was marked by discipline, spiritual unity, and strong political messaging. Chants of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” echoed through the procession, as mourners condemned the actions of the Zionist regime and the United States, affirming their solidarity with oppressed peoples and the leaders of the Resistance.

A notable feature of the ceremony was the widespread display of Ayatollah Khamenei’s image, reflecting the deep emotional and ideological connection between the people of Pakistani Kashmir and the Supreme Leader. His role was praised as a symbol of steadfastness, unity, and resistance in the face of global oppression.

On the sidelines of the procession, organizers issued formal resolutions that strongly condemned the recent threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its leadership. One segment of the resolution read:

“This massive Ashura gathering condemns all hostile actions and threats made by the United States and the Zionist regime. Any attempt to assassinate scientific, political, or religious figures—especially the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution—is viewed as a dangerous conspiracy against the Islamic Ummah.”

The statement further warned that:

“If any harm is inflicted upon His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei or other senior religious authorities such as Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Sistani, it will provoke a decisive response from Muslims around the world. The United States and the Zionist regime will be held fully responsible for the consequences.”

This year’s Ashura procession in Muzaffarabad stood as a vivid expression of Islamic awakening, public loyalty, and firm commitment to the legacy of Karbala and the ongoing struggle of the Resistance Front.
