In a formal declaration released on Monday, the Assembly denounced the remarks in the strongest possible terms, warning that threats against the Leader of the Islamic Revolution amount to an open assault on the dignity, identity, and collective conscience of the Muslim Ummah.
The statement opens by noting that the world—particularly the Islamic world—is passing through one of the most sensitive and decisive periods in contemporary history. It accuses domineering powers, led by the United States and its Zionist ally, Israel, of endangering global peace and security through force, arrogance, and blatant disregard for humanitarian principles and international law.
“Threats and conspiracies against a supreme religious authority of the Muslim world, a distinguished jurist, and the leader of the Islamic Revolution are not directed at an individual alone,” the statement said. “They constitute a clear violation of the dignity of the Islamic Ummah and an attack on its very identity. This is not a political disagreement, but an open declaration of hostility toward Islam and Muslims.”
The Assembly emphasized that Ayatollah Khamenei is not merely the political leader of a single country, but a widely respected religious authority and jurist whose guidance resonates with Muslims and freedom-seeking people across the globe. According to the statement, the voice of resistance for al-Quds, the hope of the oppressed Palestinian nation, and the resilience of the peoples of Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq are deeply connected to his principled and farsighted leadership.
“The conduct and insight of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution teach us that in the face of oppression, the path of the faithful is neither surrender nor silence, but conscious resistance rooted in patience, wisdom, unity, and moral clarity,” the statement added.
The Indian Shia Scholars Assembly declared that it bears a full religious and moral responsibility to state clearly that any threat against Ayatollah Khamenei is, in reality, a challenge to the entire Islamic Ummah. Such behavior, it said, stands in direct contradiction to human values, international norms, and the core teachings of Islam.
In the concluding section, the Assembly issued a broad call to action, urging scholars, intellectuals, political and social figures, and all free-minded people of conscience—regardless of religious or sectarian affiliation—to raise a united voice in condemnation of these threats and to remain firmly committed to justice and truth.
The statement concluded with prayers for the health, dignity, and continued success of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and called upon God Almighty to grant unity to the Islamic Ummah and swift victory to the oppressed peoples of the world.
The statement was signed by Hojatoleslam Jawad Haider Razvi, representing the All India Shia Scholars Assembly.
