Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad alongside senior leaders of his movement, Senator Jafari criticized the Pakistani government’s support for the American initiative known as the “Gaza Plan,” stressing that such a move is a betrayal of the cause of the oppressed Palestinian people. He declared that the plan is nothing but the infamous “deal of the century” repackaged, which remains wholly unacceptable.
Jafari reminded officials of Pakistan’s founding principles, recalling Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s firm stance that Israel is an illegitimate entity. He warned that by rushing to endorse the plan even before its official presentation, the authorities had indirectly accepted Israel, an approach he called “a source of national shame.” He further underlined that accountability lies not before Donald Trump, but before God Almighty.
The senator also condemned U.S. complicity in Israeli crimes, noting Washington’s repeated vetoes of ceasefire and humanitarian resolutions at the United Nations. He stressed that the Holy Quran commands Muslims to stand with the oppressed, yet today, both Palestinians and Kashmiris have been abandoned.
Turning to the situation in Kashmir, Jafari denounced the dismantling of the elected government and the suppression of the people’s voice, describing the current environment as one of fear and repression. He insisted that Pakistan must open direct dialogue with the true representatives of Kashmir and engage sincerely with marginalized groups, including the Baloch, Kashmiris, and people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Reaffirming his unwavering stance, the Chairman of the Pakistan Muslim Unity Assembly concluded that Pakistan will always stand by the oppressed nations of Palestine and Kashmir and will resist the imposition of American and Israeli colonial policies through the compliance of weak rulers.
