The Tanzim al-Makatib school in Lucknow played host over two days to a grand seminar commemorating the martyrdom of Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, titled “The Martyr Leader, Standard-Bearer of Humanity.” The significant event saw broad attendance by clerics, intellectuals, journalists, and social figures from various religions and sects. Participants, while paying tribute to Iran’s resistance-driven policies and the sacrifices of the Martyr Leader, strongly condemned the interventionist policies of the United States and the Zionist regime.
Iran: Shelter of the Oppressed Against Hegemony
Addressing the gathering, Hujjat al-Islam Abdul Majid Hakimollahi, Representative of the Iran’s Supreme Leader in India, stated: “Today, Iran is the only country standing firmly against global oppression and arrogance, supporting all the oppressed of the world without political considerations.”
He added that the Iranian nation has paid a heavy price and offered many sacrifices due to this very spirit of anti-arrogance, yet it will never kneel before oppressive powers. Concluding his remarks, the Representative of the Supreme Leader invoked the epic of Imam Hussein (PBUH), stressing the continuation of this divine path.
Indian Elites Criticize US Policies
Speaking next, Ashok Pandey, a senior Indian journalist, launched a scathing critique of the policies of American statesmen, including Donald Trump, stating: “Trump, in the name of democracy, seeks to spread chaos and plunder global resources in order to preserve American domination.”
Pointing to Washington’s bloody history of colonialism, he sardonically added: “Had Trump read Ferdowsi’s Shahnameh, he would never have entertained the thought of aggression against Iran.” Pandey asserted that this battle is not confined to a single religion or geography, but is a global struggle for freedom and independence against bullying.
Similarly, Pandit Vijay Sharma, praising the steadfastness of the Martyr Leader, described the path of resistance as the only way to counter America’s chaos-mongering.
Dr. Sunilam Singh, a socialist leader and former member of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, also stressed that Washington seeks to dominate all governments, but Iran’s decisive response to this bullying has disrupted the equations of the arrogant powers.
Seminar Details and Program
The seminar was organized into four specialized sessions, chaired by Seyyed Hashim al-Hassan, head of Tanzim al-Makatib, and conducted by Anis Jaisi. Other segments of the event included the screening of a biographical documentary on the Martyr Leader, produced by Tanzim al-Makatib, and the recitation of a special message from Hujjat al-Islam Ramezani, Secretary-General of the Ahlulbayt World Assembly, delivered in Urdu.
In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Safi Haider, a prominent Indian cleric, expressed gratitude for the enthusiastic participation of diverse segments of men and women, and emphasized the continuation of the path of raising awareness.
