Addressing the gathering, Dogu Perincek described Iran’s resistance as the decisive factor in defeating US and Israeli objectives, while calling for the formation of an “Iran-Turkey-Russia-China” coalition to counter the Western-led order.
The Vatan Party convened the conference in Bursa to examine the repercussions of Iran’s steadfastness in the context of Asia’s rise. The event featured addresses by Dogu Perincek, Chairman of the Vatan Party; Ali Ozgunduz, former member of parliament for Istanbul; and Abolghasem Tahmasebi, a senior diplomat of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The program drew significant public participation, with attendees engaging the speakers in a wide-ranging question-and-answer session that extended the conference to nearly three hours.
The proceedings opened with a moment of silence and the playing of the Turkish national anthem. Dilek Cinar, head of the Vatan Party’s Bursa provincial branch, stated in her opening remarks that the objective of the gathering was to examine “Iran’s victory” and Turkey’s role in the unfolding regional developments. Asserting that Iran had “brought the United States and Israel to their knees,” she said: “America failed to achieve any of its political objectives. They were defeated in Iran, and this carries profound lessons for our country as well.”
The Geography of Heroes
In his address, Dogu Perincek pointed to the formation of a new world order, stating: “A new world is being founded, and on the frontlines of this new world stands the front of humanity. Iran is fighting for humanity, and it is fighting for Turkey too. Palestine, Hamas, Hezbollah, and Yemen are all fighting for the whole of humanity. West Asia has now become the geography of heroes.”
He described Turkey as a frontline state in the regional upheaval, claiming that the United States, Israel, and Greece have formed a coalition against Turkey in the Eastern Mediterranean. Referencing joint military exercises conducted by these countries, Perincek warned: “The exercise simulating a crossing of the Maritsa River signifies preparations to enter Turkish territory. The guns and tanks of America and Israel have not yet reached our doorstep, but these military preparations serve as a warning about what lies ahead.”
‘We Cannot Watch from the Balcony’
The Vatan Party leader stressed that Turkey cannot afford to “watch from the balcony” as Palestinians wage war in Gaza, Yemen sustains its resistance, and Hezbollah battles in Lebanon. “If rifle barrels are aimed at Turkey today, their bullets will be fired at us tomorrow,” he added.
The Mathematics of Resistance
Perincek characterized Iran’s resistance as the product of “martyrdom-seeking, rationality, and science,” stating that the Islamic Republic, through sound strategic design, has proven capable of withstanding American and Israeli attacks. “A human front has taken shape alongside Iran, stretching from Russia and China to Arab nations, Nicaragua, Cuba, Mexico, and even the Christians of Europe. The Catholic prime minister of Spain also stands within this front. Iran has managed to forge a strategic environment around itself, and we must study this carefully,” he said.
He continued: “Iran understood precisely who its enemy is and who its friends are. This is political mathematics, and Turkey, too, must formulate such an equation to achieve deterrence against American and Israeli threats.”
America and Israel Fear This Equation
Perincek noted that the idea of a “Turkey-Russia-China-Iran” coalition has been championed by the Vatan Party for years but is now gaining traction within the Turkish government itself.
“America and Israel fear this equation,” he asserted. “As Mr. Devlet Bahceli has also stated, in the face of the American-Israeli coalition of evil, a human coalition of Turkey, Russia, China, and Iran must take shape.”
A Three-Point Program for Turkey’s Future
The Vatan Party chairman then outlined the three central pillars of his political program, arguing that Turkey must pivot toward a production-based economy and repatriate the wealth accumulated in Western banks. He claimed that approximately $500 billion belonging to wealthy Turkish nationals is held in banks in London, New York, and Switzerland, and that the government must use its legal authority to channel these funds back into domestic production.
Addressing national unity, Perincek said: “America and Israel sought to partition Turkey, but now our Kurdish citizens have also entered the process of a ‘Turkey free of terror,’ or more accurately, a ‘unified Turkey.’ We will unify Turkey in both state and nation.”
He went on to call for the emergence of a “Turkey of honorable people,” declaring: “We want a Turkey where people live by their work and labor, not a Turkey of plunderers and corruption. The culture of individualism and self-centeredness has infiltrated our society from the West, and we must revive the culture of sacrifice and spirituality.”
An Alliance with Iran, Russia and China Is No Simple Choice
Perincek concluded this segment by stressing: “This coalition is not merely a foreign policy option; it is the path to building a new Turkey—a Turkey founded on brotherhood, production, solidarity, and spirituality.”
Message from Iran’s Consul General
At the opening of the conference, a message from Ahmad Mohammadi, Iran’s Consul General in Istanbul, was read by Abolghasem Tahmasebi. Recalling the martyrs of the Minab girls’ school and other victims of the recent war, the message stated: “Throughout the forty days of resistance, both the Turkish government and the Turkish nation clearly demonstrated their solidarity and sympathy.”
The message expressed gratitude to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmus, as well as acknowledging the support of the Vatan Party and Dogu Perincek for Iran. The role of the Aydinlik newspaper and Ulusal TV channel in covering the developments of the war on Iran was also commended.
The World After This War Will Never Be the Same
The Consul General’s message further stressed that the recent war has ushered the international order into a new phase. It enumerated three principal outcomes of these developments: the weakening of “arrogant” powers, particularly the United States and Israel; the erosion of confidence among certain regional governments in American security guarantees; and the strengthening of Iran’s position within the security architecture of West Asia, along with growing acceptance of Iran as an effective actor in the emerging global order.
“With Asia’s increasingly prominent role in the future of the international system, the Turkey-Russia-China-Iran coalition has acquired vital importance,” the message added.
All Iranian Women Stand on the Front of Humanity
During the question-and-answer segment of the conference, Abolghasem Tahmasebi was asked about the role of Iranian women in the resistance. He responded: “The enemies imagined they could bring Iran to collapse within four days, but they did not know the Iranian people. The message of Iranian women to the women of Turkey is this: the women of Iran—whether with hijab, with loose hijab, or without hijab, whether Muslim or non-Muslim—all stand on the front of humanity against imperialism.”
