In his statement, Sheikh Qassem offered condolences to patient and resilient families across Lebanon who have lost loved ones—men, women, children, and fighters—in the ongoing confrontation with the Israeli regime.
“We see their pure blood as a contributing factor to dignity and victory against the oppressive, arrogant Israeli-American enemy,” he said, praying for the wounded to receive swift recovery and for families to be granted patience, resolve, and divine success.
Enemy’s battlefield failures
The Hezbollah chief detailed the Israeli regime’s military setbacks, stating that the enemy has proven incapable of ground incursions despite repeated announcements.
“Israeli soldiers and officers have fallen in ambushes set by the mujahideen, and their vehicles have been destroyed at the entrances of towns and villages,” he asserted.
According to Sheikh Qassem, the enemy has changed its objectives multiple times—from reaching the Litani River to limited advances, then to control through fire and destruction. Yet, over 40 days of aggression, Israel has failed to stop rockets, mortars, and drones from striking settlements near and far, reaching Haifa and beyond.
Astonished by resistance tactics
The Hezbollah leader said the enemy has been astonished by the resistance’s methods, the flexibility of the mujahideen’s movements, their defensive capabilities, and their legendary courage.
“It has become clear that gathering one hundred thousand Israeli soldiers will not help the occupation—rather, they will be reduced to corpses and body parts,” he warned. “Those who remain on the battlefield live in fear, not knowing when they will be killed, captured, or ordered to retreat—because they cannot hold ground in the pure, martyr-nurturing land of southern Lebanon.”
Civilian massacres expose weakness
Sheikh Qassem accused the Israeli regime of resorting to bloody massacres against civilians in densely populated neighborhoods, cities, and villages across Beirut’s southern suburbs, the South, the Bekaa Valley, and Mount Lebanon—all to conceal its battlefield impotence.
“However, the Lebanese nation is far stronger and more steadfast than the enemy imagines,” he said. “The displaced have shown examples of honor and high spirits; their hosts have demonstrated the noblest forms of humanity and citizenship; and the mujahideen on the frontlines are a firm barrier crushing the dreams and ambitions of the Zionists.”
Call to stop free concessions
“The resistance continues until the last breath,” Sheikh Qassem declared. “The rush of young people to the battlefield and their refusal to leave is a window of hope and dignity. These sacrifices bind us more deeply to the liberation of our homeland and our honor. We will never return to the previous situation.”
He then issued a direct call to Lebanese officials: “We ask the authorities to stop free concessions.”
Unity and divine promise
The Hezbollah secretary-general stressed that the Lebanese state, army, people, and resistance must stand together to preserve the country, restore its sovereignty, and expel the occupiers.
“Threats and their weapons do not frighten us, for we are the owners of this land, and we possess the faith, will, and ability to prevent them from achieving their goals,” he said, citing the Quranic verse: “God has decreed: ‘I and My messengers will surely prevail.’ Indeed, God is All-Powerful, Almighty.”
