In the Name of God, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
His Holiness Pope Leo XIV, Esteemed Leader of Christians,
With greetings and respect,
We extend our sincere appreciation and gratitude for your wise and courageous stances in condemning the tyranny and aggression of the American regime against Iran, as well as your benevolent efforts toward the realization of peace. We further condemn the insult directed at you by the President of the United States.
Jesus Christ (PBUH) turned toward humanity to deliver mankind from the darkness of polytheism, disbelief, ignorance, and oppression. He was sent forth to convey the message of divine invitation and to propagate the light of knowledge, justice, and servitude to the Almighty Lord.
Without a doubt, the oppressive conduct of the ignorant President of the United States bears no connection or commonality whatsoever with the teachings of that Prophet, who was the herald of mercy and guidance.
Today, the arrogant American establishment, through its deviant and oppressive behavior and by attributing its own actions to the teachings of Jesus, commits a grave injustice against that great Divine Prophet and the Christian faith. It is abundantly clear that the Christian community neither endorses nor accompanies his crimes.
The Society of Seminary Teachers of the Islamic Seminary of Qom, while expressing its support for your clear and decisive positions in defense of global peace, expresses its hope that through the awakening of human societies and the sincere efforts of the flag-bearers of religion and spirituality, religious values will become the foundation and axis of action for the attainment of human felicity, social justice, and human dignity. We further hope that with the collapse of all arrogant and oppressive foundations, we shall witness the flourishing of moral virtues and the end of the tyranny and injustice of the world’s despots.
