Sheikh Afalh Al-Khalili – Vice President of the Imam Jabir bin Zaid Institute and son of the Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman – was among the speakers at the “Future of the Battle” panel. The session, organized by the Qademoun International Forum and broadcast on Al-Kawthar TV, focused on developments in the Islamic world and confronting hegemonic powers.
Aggression and the call for unity
Addressing the ongoing Zionist regime’s aggression against Islamic countries and extensive US support for these acts, Sheikh Al-Khalili stated that the current situation of the Islamic world demands that the Ummah stand united and cohesive against this trend, preventing the continuation of oppression and tyranny.
“The Muslims must, through unity, be able to change the balance of power and pave the way for justice, the dignity of the Islamic Ummah, and mercy for all humanity,” he added.
Divine promise and the tools of power
Referring to Quranic concepts, the Omani scholar emphasized that achieving divine victory requires reforming humanity’s relationship with God and a sincere return to the path of faith and piety – as the Holy Quran promises: “If you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet” (47:7).
Alongside the spiritual dimension, Sheikh Al-Khalili stressed that the Islamic Ummah must utilize all tools of power – military, scientific, economic, and political – because these combined instruments can create the necessary deterrence against enemies.
Unity beyond differences
The scholar further highlighted the importance of unity, stating that the Islamic Ummah is a single nation that must avoid division, unite around common religious and human principles, and prioritize the concept of the Ummah over ethnic and sectarian differences.
He also called for cooperation with other nations in the path of justice and righteousness, noting that such cooperation is not limited to religious boundaries and has clear examples in the conduct of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Hope for divine assistance
In conclusion, Sheikh Al-Khalili expressed hope for divine assistance, saying that through the unity of the Islamic Ummah, strengthening faith, and collective effort, a future of dignity, justice, and freedom can be secured for Muslims and all of humanity. He concluded by praying to Almighty God for immediate victory and honor for the Islamic Ummah.
