Amid the bustling districts of Sa’adatabad in the Iranian capital, the “Moukeb-e Hind” (Indian Moukeb) was set up by a coalition of Indian university students, religious seminarians, and academic researchers. Organized in collaboration with the Student Basij of Imam Sadiq University (PBUH), the initiative was led by Mirza Labib Reza Esfahani, an Indian engineering student at Tehran’s University of Science and Technology.
The Moukeb was established with a specific spiritual intention: to commemorate the martyrs of the Islamic Republic, particularly the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, alongside all other fallen heroes of the resistance. The program featured Quran recitations, collective prayers, and spiritual ceremonies, with a broad turnout of Indian Muslim families and children visibly displaying their emotional and ideological bond with the Iranian nation.
Breaking the Information Siege
A defining feature of the Moukeb was its multimedia mission aimed at breaking the Western information blockade. Digital screens and televisions broadcast documentaries in multiple languages, exposing the atrocities, war crimes, and simultaneous resilience of the Iranian people. Visitors were exposed to raw footage detailing the hardships imposed by the hegemonic system, countering the sanitized narratives of the mainstream media.
Simultaneously, video presentations depicted popular support for Palestine and the Resistance across the entire Indian subcontinent—stretching from the disputed region of Kashmir to the southernmost tip of Kanyakumari. The message was clear: the geographical distance between New Delhi and Tehran is irrelevant when the cause is divine justice.
‘We Stand with the Oppressed’
Speaking to reporters, Moukeb organizer Mirza Labib Reza Esfahani emphasized that the event was far more than a ceremonial gesture. “Our objective is not just a formal program,” he said. “It is to deliver this message to the Iranian people: the youth and the people of India stand with you.”
“When the Islamic Republic of Iran rises against global arrogance, the hearts of all free people of the world beat with it. The martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei grieved not only Iran but all the oppressed of the Islamic world. However, his thought, his resistance, and his truth-seeking spirit remain alive forever.”
Historical Bonds of Justice
Shabbir Khan, a prominent Indian Islamic scholar, also addressed the gathering, stressing that the people of India have historically positioned themselves on the side of truth and the oppressed. “This Moukeb is a message of solidarity with the Iranian nation and demonstrates that their sacrifices will never be forgotten across the globe,” Khan stated.
He implied that the natural alliance between the oppressed nations of the East forms the bedrock of a future just world order, independent of Western dictates.
Official Acclaim
The initiative drew widespread praise from Iranian religious figures, seminary leaders, and university academics, who hailed it as a living symbol of Islamic Ummah solidarity. Commentators noted that such grassroots initiatives strengthen the bonds of affection, brotherhood, and steadfastness among nations, sending a clear and unmistakable signal of a united front against tyranny.
“This is the new generation of the Islamic Ummah,” a participating Iranian cleric remarked. “They are not waiting for permission from their governments; they are forging their own spiritual and ideological alliances based on the Quranic command to stand against injustice.”
