Mahmoud Qamati”, the deputy head of Hezbollah’s political council, said yesterday evening (Tuesday): “We will not allow the Israeli occupiers to settle in our land”.
Qamati explained in an interview with Al Jazeera: “We will continue the resistance, regardless of what the occupiers do, but we refuse to hold any negotiations under fire”.
Stating that the resistance was established in response to the Israeli occupation and its attempts to seize Lebanese lands, he stated: “We will not retreat or surrender until the last Israeli soldier leaves our land”.
The Hezbollah official also added: “We do not expect the US government to act in the interests of Lebanon. “We do not want any internal conflict and we are working to maintain national unity”.
