Speaking on the “Horizon of Victory” program, organized by the Qademoun World Assembly, Sheikh Bazdar stated the world is moving through a transformative phase that could mark the end of prior power structures and the emergence of new equations, a process where the Islamic Ummah can play a decisive role.
He explained that the concept of “defeat” for hegemonic powers should not be viewed solely through a military lens. “This issue encompasses economic, political, and cultural dimensions, and its analysis requires a comprehensive, multi-faceted perspective,” Bazdar noted.
The Bushehr-based cleric highlighted “Islamic unity” as a cornerstone of this trajectory, arguing that economic convergence through expanded trade cooperation, the creation of joint financial mechanisms, and enhanced multilateral engagement can significantly bolster the standing of Islamic nations on the global stage. He also stressed the necessity of political coordination among Muslim countries, stating that unified stances in international forums can dramatically increase the Islamic world’s bargaining power and influence.
Turning to the role of the “Axis of Resistance,” Bazdar described it as a key factor reshaping field equations, adding that recent developments have proven that regional actors can, under specific circumstances, decisively impact existing dynamics.
The Sunni scholar further identified “energy diplomacy” as a crucial instrument of power. “Energy resources and their transit routes are among the significant capacities that, if managed strategically, can effectively strengthen the economic and political independence of nations,” he said.
Sheikh Bazdar concluded by urging vigilance against existing challenges while seizing emerging opportunities. He expressed hope that the Islamic world would leverage its inherent capacities to play a more active role in shaping the future international order.
