A conference titled “Palestinian Peace Agreement: Violations and Responsibility of the Islamic Ummah” was held in Islamabad with the participation of Shia and Sunni scholars, political figures, and pro-Palestinian activists. The event, organized by Pakistan’s Voice of the Voiceless movement, called for vigilance against Western-backed normalization efforts and reaffirmed unwavering support for the Palestinian resistance.
Mufti Gulzar Naimi, head of the Ahl al-Haram Pakistan Jamaat, described the so-called Abraham Accords as a “dangerous trap” for the Islamic Ummah. He warned that some Muslim governments, under foreign pressure, were betraying the divine covenant by siding with American policies that harm Palestine and the wider Muslim world.
Condemning silence over Israeli atrocities, Naimi said the people of Gaza “will never forgive the traitors” and urged Islamic nations to provide medical aid and financial support to victims of Israeli aggression.
Dr. Nasser Abbas Shirazi, Secretary General of the Muslim Unity Council, stressed that the recent truce in Gaza was “not a peace agreement but a temporary ceasefire,” adding that fear of Hezbollah and Hamas had “paralyzed Israeli society.” He cited UN data labeling Israel’s actions as “genocide” carried out with Western complicity.
Sunni cleric Mufti Tayyip Shah Tirmizi called for Islamic unity to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque, saying that “just as Muslims defend the Two Holy Mosques, they must also unite to protect Al-Quds.”
The participants, including women and youth, reiterated their commitment to the Palestinian cause and urged Muslim governments to take clear, decisive positions against the Zionist regime’s crimes and to support the resistance until the full liberation of Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
