Shahriari described Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a role model of mercy, kindness, and moral integrity, highlighting Islam as a religion of compassion, heart-building, and ethical conduct. He stressed that the enemies of Islam seek to misrepresent the religion by supporting extremist groups, with Zionist media playing a central role in portraying Muslims as violent.
Referring to Iran’s resistance during the 12-Day Sacred Defense, he noted that national unity around the Supreme Leader was crucial in defeating the aggressors, and called on all Islamic nations to strengthen cohesion to counter ongoing injustices, such as the genocide in Gaza.
Shahriari announced that special programs during Unity Week will focus on defending the oppressed in Gaza and promoting solidarity among Muslims worldwide. He also praised Iran as a model of interethnic and interfaith coexistence, demonstrating that following the Supreme Leader fosters unity against common enemies.
The Secretary-General concluded that the Resistance Front, by opposing American unilateralism, has reinforced Islamic unity and strengthened ties among justice and freedom seekers.
