A scientific seminar titled “The Role of Quranic Teachers in the Formation of a Quranic Society” was held in Baltistan with the support of the Baltistan Clergy Society and Seminary of Pakistan.

The event, hosted at the Bayenat Complex in Skardu, was attended by Quran teachers, religious scholars, students of seminaries and universities, as well as educated men and women.

The program began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Qari Hojatoleslam Umair, followed by the opening speech of Hojatoleslam Gulzar Mohammadi, Secretary of Education of the Baltistan Clergy Society. He stressed the importance of scientific and religious gatherings in enhancing Quranic awareness in society.

Addressing the gathering, Hojatoleslam Yaqub Beshway, a prominent researcher and missionary of Baltistan, highlighted the fundamental role of Quranic teachers in shaping the intellectual and cultural awakening of the community. He called for more extensive and organized scientific meetings in universities and academic centers, noting that “the realization of a Quranic society requires precise and comprehensive planning.”

Concluding the seminar, Hojatoleslam Sheikh Ali Naqi Jannati, head of the Baltistan Clergy Society, praised the services of Quran teachers and underlined the necessity of raising the younger generation on the basis of Quranic teachings and the values of Ahlul Bayt (AS).

He said: “We must move beyond the stage of mere recitation of the Holy Quran towards understanding and practicing its teachings. Only in this way can we build a true and authentic Quranic society.”
