The march, organized by Australian civil society organizations and groups, anti-war activists, students, Muslims and Christians supporting Palestine, was held with slogans such as “Immediate ceasefire”, “Palestine must be free” and “Boycott the Israeli regime”.
Holding Palestinian flags, placards and posters condemning the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, the participants walked through the main streets of Sydney city center and had a large and enthusiastic presence despite the bad weather conditions.
The organizers of the march announced that the purpose of this massive gathering is to draw the attention of the world public opinion to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, to pressure the Australian government to take a firm stance against the crimes of the Zionist regime, and to support the legitimate struggles of the Palestinian people.
The Sydney march is part of a global wave of support for the Palestinian people that has been held in various cities in Europe, America, Latin America, Africa, and Asia in recent months, and has brought a clear message of the resistance of nations against oppression and occupation.
