In a statement issued Monday, Wahidi asserted that Trump’s comments reflect “confusion, helplessness, and diplomatic failure” in the face of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s resilience and the continued advancement of the Axis of Resistance.
“Trump’s insulting and undiplomatic language is a clear indication of his frustration following successive failures against Iran,” Wahidi said. “Such language is not only unbecoming of a former head of state but also rejected by even the American public.”
He emphasized that insults directed at Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, are deeply offensive to the entire Muslim world.
“Ayatollah Khamenei is not just a leader of Iran—he is a revered and respected figure across the Muslim world. Any attack on his character is an attack on the dignity of the entire Islamic Ummah,” Wahidi stressed.
The Shia scholar highlighted how international observers, including global intelligence and media outlets, now acknowledge the strategic failures of the U.S. and Israel in the face of Iran’s growing influence. He cited these setbacks as the root cause of the aggressive rhetoric used by Trump.
“Two nuclear-armed powers have faced a humiliating defeat not through warfare, but in the face of the will and resilience of the Iranian people. This truth has shaken the arrogance of the global hegemonic system,” he added.
Wahidi also expressed full support for the recent statements and fatwas issued by prominent religious authorities, calling them a reflection of the deep concern and righteous indignation of the Islamic world.
“We stand with the grand Shia authorities in their defense of Islamic dignity. Today, the unity and awareness of Muslim nations are the greatest barriers against the conspiracies of global arrogance.”
He concluded by reaffirming the unwavering solidarity of the Islamic world against external threats and provocations, stating that the awakened and united Muslim nations will continue to resist injustice and preserve their religious and national dignity.
