In a statement issued Sunday, the clerical body expressed full support for what it described as a “divinely guided and revolutionary” declaration defending the sanctity of the Supreme Leader and Islamic authority.
“The explicit and history-making fatwa of the great religious authorities — declaring any individual, regime, or government that targets the Supreme Leader as an aggressor — is a shining example of commitment to pure Muhammadan Islam,” the statement read.
The Prayer Imams emphasized three key implications of the ruling:
- Clarification of the religious duty of Muslims in confronting enemies of the Islamic system;
- Rejection of any divisive efforts aimed at weakening the foundations of Islamic guidance;
- Affirmation of the inseparable bond between religious authority and guardianship, as pillars of Islamic unity and dignity.
The statement also underlined the unity between seminaries and congregational leaders in supporting the Marja’iyyah and emphasized obedience to the Supreme Leader as a religious obligation that ensures the integrity of the Ahl al-Bayt school of thought.
“We call on all faithful Muslims to heed the divine guidance of the Marja’, stand united, and resist all conspiracies with unwavering resolve. This is sacred jihad and a path to both worldly dignity and eternal salvation.”
The Qom Province clerics concluded with prayers for the longevity of the religious authorities and for divine protection against global arrogance and its schemes.
