Indians protest Trump’s Threats to Supreme Leader

In the Indian city of Lucknow, a large protest rally was held at the Asefi Mosque in response to the Zionist regime’s terrorist attack on Iran and the US President’s threats to assassinate the Supreme Leader of the Shiites, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Indians strongly protest Trump’s threats

During the rally, protesters expressed their anger by chanting slogans against US-backed Israeli terrorism. Pictures of the US President and the Israeli Prime Minister were burned along with the Israeli flag. Slogans in support of Iran and the Shia authority were also chanted. Meanwhile, the Indian mainstream media that continues to insult Ayatollah Khamenei was also condemned.

In his speech, Hujjat al-slam Sayyid Kalb Jawad Naqvi, Secretary General of the Indian Ulema Council, condemned the US President’s threats and said,” Ayatollah Khamenei is not only the leader of Iran, but also the religious authority and leader of all Shiites in the world. We will never tolerate these threats. If even a hair is lost from his head, we will make India’s land insecure for Zionists and Americans and will not allow any American or Israeli to enter the country.”

Criticizing the Indian media, he said,” The Indian media has violated professional principles and insulting our great authority is intolerable. The government should issue serious instructions to the media. Why are these media so interested in Israel? If they are telling the truth, they should go to Israel and see the reality up close. Where were these media outlets when Israel was destroying Gaza and martyring more than 70,000 women and children?”
