Hujjat al-Islam Maqsood Ali Domaki, Secretary General of Publication and Propaganda of the Muslim Unity Assembly, has strongly condemned the crimes of the Zionist regime against the oppressed Palestinian people at a conference of scholars in Pakistan, stating that the awakened conscience of the world can no longer tolerate this blatant cruelty and the time has come for the international community to take decisive and effective action.
He considered the seizure of a European aid ship by the military forces of the Zionist regime a clear violation of international law and humanitarian principles and called for the judicial prosecution of the leaders of this regime by the United Nations, the International Criminal Court and other responsible international institutions.
Referring to the catastrophic number of Palestinian victims, this Pakistani scholar added,” So far, more than 54,000 innocent people in Palestine have been martyred at the hands of the occupying forces; These crimes have deeply wounded the conscience of humanity.”
He described the recent action of European activists led by Greta Thunberg, a prominent environmental activist from Sweden, in sending a ship carrying humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as a humane and courageous move, adding,” This effort shows that the world today is divided into two completely distinct fronts; on the one hand, the oppressed and defenders of human rights, and on the other, the oppressors and supporters of arrogance.”
The Secretary General of the Publication and Propaganda Department of Pakistan Muslim Unity Assembly, strongly condemned the action of the Israeli naval forces in preventing the aid ship from reaching Gaza, and noted,” This act is a clear violation of humanitarian principles and international laws. The silence of international institutions in this regard is a matter of deep regret and concern.”
