on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the passing of the Late Imam Khomeini (RA), an international conference was held online from Mumbai, India, with the participation of prominent thinkers, scholars, preachers, and poets from different countries.
This ceremony, which aimed to explain the intellectual, spiritual, and global dimensions of Imam Khomeini’s personality and to honor his unparalleled role in awakening the Islamic nation and confronting global colonialism, was widely welcomed by scholars and enthusiasts.
Imam Khomeini; A Unique Thinker and a Transformative Leader
At the beginning of the ceremony, Mohammad Reza Fazel, Director of the Islamic Republic of Iran Cultural Center in Mumbai, in his speech, considered Imam Khomeini (RA) a unique figure in contemporary history, saying, “With his divine and revolutionary teachings, he laid the path of independence, dignity and awakening before the Islamic nation, and his spiritual and political messages continue to inspire millions of people around the world.
An Imam for all the oppressed of the world
In his speech, Hujjat al-Islam Aslam Razavi also noted, referring to the global status of Imam Khomeini,” He was not only the leader of Shiites or Muslims, but also the refuge and voice of all the oppressed and deprived of the world.”
A Revolution Born from Ashura
In another part of the ceremony, Hujjat al-Islam Seyyed Safi Haidar, Secretary General of the Organization of Schools, referring to the continued dynamism of the Islamic Revolution, stated: Unlike other revolutions that fade away with the passage of time, Imam Khomeini’s revolution is becoming more widespread and deeply rooted day by day, because the light of Ashura flows in its essence.
He also praised the leadership role of Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, calling it a continuation of the luminous path of the late Imam Khomeini (RA).
