on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the passing of the great founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeini (RA), a ceremony titled “Imam Khomeini’s Role in Supporting Oppressed Palestine” was held at Khatam-un-Nabiyyin School in Quetta, Pakistan.
Hedayat al-Rehman Baloch, Chairman of the Baluchistan National Solidarity Council and Amir of the Jamaat-e-Islami of this province, stated in a speech,” Imam Khomeini (RA) is a true symbol of defending the oppressed, resisting oppression, and a manifestation of Islamic zeal. By establishing the Islamic Revolution, he not only awakened the Iranian nation, but also became the loud and strong voice of the oppressed nations of the world, especially the Palestinian nation.
Seyyed Abolhassan Miri, Director General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Cultural Center in Quetta, referring to Imam Khomeini’s (RA) long-standing support for the Palestinian cause, stated, “He had supported the Palestinian people’s struggles since 1963, before the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and by charting the path of patience, jihad, and resistance, he called on them to stand against the Zionist regime. He also described the Israeli coalition as a dangerous conspiracy for the Islamic world.”
Hujjat al-Islam Maqsood Ali Domaki, Secretary General of the Publication and Propaganda Department of the Pakistan Muslim Unity Council, also stated in his speech that the Late Imam Khomeini (RA) put the political and intellectual teachings of the Holy Quran into practice. By declaring International Quds Day, he turned the Palestinian issue into a central issue for the Islamic world and conveyed the message of resistance against global arrogance to the entire Islamic nation.
The speakers, praising Imam Khomeini’s (RA) high position in supporting the oppressed and his profound political analyses, emphasized that his message continues to be a beacon for all free people in the world in the fight against oppression and occupation, and that the liberation of Palestine remains a collective responsibility on the shoulders of the Islamic nation.
